This preview policy describes the intended data practices for Briefena. It must be reviewed and updated before live accounts, source collection, analytics, or payment processing are enabled.
Information you provide
Briefena will store account details, monitoring objectives, delivery preferences, relevance feedback, and communications you choose to send us.
Monitoring objectives may reveal personal interests. We will treat them as private account data and will not publish or sell them.
How information is used
Information is used to operate watchlists, select relevant sources, generate briefings, deliver email, improve relevance, provide support, and protect the service from abuse.
Automated processing will be used to classify and summarize published information. Briefena will not use monitoring objectives to make consequential decisions about individuals.
Service providers
Briefena may use infrastructure, email, search, language-model, analytics, and payment providers. Each provider will receive only the information required to perform its role.
Paddle is expected to act as merchant of record for paid subscriptions and will process payment and tax information under its own privacy terms.
Retention and control
Account information and briefing history will be retained while an account is active and for a limited period afterward where needed for security, legal, or accounting purposes.
Users will be able to pause or delete watchlists and request account deletion. Production retention periods will be published before launch.
